The experience of threat faced by families and staff in neonatal care can disconnect us from each other. Relationships become harder to navigate as our brains and bodies switch into patterns of self-protection.


In this webinar we will explore how theories of mentalisation and social mentalities can help us understand ourselves and each other, and how relationships can become so easily detailed in neonatal care. We will discuss how psychological professionals can use mentalisation-based and compassion-focused interventions to restore and maintain connected, collaborative, caring relationships across the systems in which we work.
