Palliative care and end of life care in neonatal and paediatric services are times of huge uncertainty for families and clinical teams. Many of the ways that we commonly try to manage this uncertainty can lead to disconnected relationships, and impact on decision making. We will explore some of the guideposts that can help families and teams tolerate uncertainty and navigate such difficult decisions, together in partnership.
